Coil Cleaning
Coils require regularly scheduled cleaning to support overall performance.
FMC incorporates specialty coil cleaners along with low volume pressure washing to thoroughly rinse and clean coil surfaces. When possible, steam cleaning is used to penetrate further into the coil for a deep cleaning process.
Typically air flow and/or pressure differentials are recorded before and after the cleaning process to document changes in coil performance.
Insulation Repair
AHU internal fiberglass insulation often has mold and contaminants that need to be addressed. Porous fiberglass insulation cannot be completely cleaned and should be replaced. Therefor, FMC recommends installation of closed foam cell insulation combined with anti-microbial industrial coatings.
New insulation, HEPA cleaning, coil cleaning, drain pan treatment and anti-microbial coating application are part of a complete mechanical hygiene refurbishment.
Drain Pan Treatment
Condensate drain pans often rust and deteriorate resulting in leaks, standing water and higher humidity levels.
FMC Refurbishment Services include thorough pressure washing, scrapping and cleaning of the drain pans. Areas of the drain pan that have leaks are patched with new metal, and specialty protective epoxy coating products are applied. This results in a long-term solution for rust, corrosion and proper drainage.
If possible, center floor drain lines may also be installed to prevent water accumulation in the drain pan.
BLOWER CLEANING
Debris build-up on blower components significantly effects air flow performance. Dirt and biological contaminants are often blown downstream into occupied areas. Pressure washing, sanitizing and painting of components assure clean and efficient operations as well as long-term rust prevention.
